Redhakhol,2nd Aug 2025; In Sambalpur district, a special independent team from the district health department conducted surprise raids on both government and private ultrasound clinics in Redhakhol town on Thursday. The raids included visits to the Redhakhol Sub-Divisional Hospital, Behera Clinic, and Maheshwari Hospital, where the team inspected adherence to various government regulations.
The health department team specifically checked for violations related to female foeticide prevention, cleanliness, and license registration.
During the raid, Redhakhol Sub-Collector Rashmi Ranjan Mohanty, District FW Officer Pramod Kumar Bishwal, SDMO Dr. Sunita Brahma, and several other health department officials participated.
The inspection revealed certain irregularities in documentation, and clinic owners were warned to ensure proper hygiene and maintain cleanliness standards, according to a statement by District FW Officer Shri Bishwal.
