Jharigaon:May 02: A voluntary blood donation camp was organized at the Jharigaon Community Health Centre in Nabarangpur district, jointly by the block administration and Ama Odisha.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Block Development Officer Madhusudan Majhi, Medical Officer Aravinda Panda, Dr. Santosh Pradhan, CDPO Biraj Mohini Pangi, Forester Sushant Kumar Singh, ABEO Dasharath Gand, PHEO Surendra Kumar Sahu, SI Laxmikant Dora, BPM Jagannath Mishra, GPDO Subas Dhali, and CP Satya Dandasena, among others.
A total of 34 units of blood were collected during the camp. Staff from the Umerkote Blood Bank, including Shashikant Palai, Hemant Kumar Nayak, Dibyanshu Gantayat, and Navindra Kumar Sethi, carried out the blood collection process.
Registration responsibilities were managed by CHOs Sasmita Parida, Pragya Sahu, Abhijit Mohanty, Sushant Pahadi, Yashbasini Sahu, Pankajini Majhi, Keshari Majhi, and Jiban Chandra Santa, among others.
At the end of the program, officials including BDO Madhusudan Majhi, Medical Officer Aravinda Panda, CDPO Biraj Mohini Pangi, Forester Sushant Kumar Singh, and PHEO Surendra Kumar Sahu distributed certificates to the donors.
Several individuals, including Shiva Narayan, Bipin Nayak, Purnachandra Praharaj, Harekrishna Mishra, Ashish Behera, Jiban Mahapatra, and Ravi Jani, encouraged the donors during the event. ASHA workers such as Kabita Kuldeep, Santosi Hantal, Dalimba Bishoi, Braja Kishori Panda, and Jemamani Behera also extended their support.
The program was coordinated by Ama Odisha Block Coordinator Ramesh Pattnaik.
Many donors participated in the noble cause, reinforcing the message: “Blood donors are life savers.”
