Historic Moment Ahead: Modi Set to Perform Flag Hoisting at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple

Ayodhya, Nov 25: The holy city of Ayodhya is once again preparing for a grand and historic celebration. On the upcoming 25th (Tuesday), a flag-hoisting ceremony will take place at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the event and hoist the sacred flag atop the temple’s main spire.

The atmosphere across the temple premises and the entire city is filled with enthusiasm and excitement. The saint community is also showing great interest in this historic occasion. According to them, the flag-hoisting by Prime Minister Modi is a moment of pride for crores of Ram devotees.

Jagadguru Paramhans Acharyaji Maharaj said that Prime Minister Modi has not only developed Ayodhya but has restored it to the glory reminiscent of the Treta Yuga. The Ayodhya described in the Vedas, Puranas, and Shastras is now visible in reality. The flag-hoisting ceremony is a moment of deep devotion and emotion for all Ram devotees. According to the saints, the installation of a Dharma Dhwaja (religious flag) symbolizes the ideals of a Hindu nation. Its purpose is to spread the values of Ram Rajya—love, brotherhood, and human dignity.

The magnificent flag that will fly atop the temple is 22 feet long and 11 feet wide, made of silk cloth, weighing 4 kg. It bears auspicious symbols of Shri Ram’s insignia, Om, and the Kalpavriksha (wish-fulfilling tree). The flag will be hoisted on the 42-foot-high and 5,100-kg flagpole.

About 7,000 special invitations have been issued for the ceremony, including leaders of deprived and socially backward communities. From the eight regions, 1,089 guests from 13 districts have been invited.

Meanwhile, the police and administration are on high alert regarding security arrangements. All vehicles entering the Ramnagari area are being thoroughly checked. Police officials are keeping a close watch on suspicious activities. Separate checkpoints have been set up for vehicle inspection.
