Bhubaneswar, June 22: The India Meteorological Department (India Meteorological Department) has issued a warning for rough sea conditions along the Odisha coast and advised fishermen not to venture into the sea on June 22 and 23.
The IMD has forecast squally winds of 40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, which are likely to make sea conditions rough to very rough during this period.
Fishermen already at sea have been advised to return to shore immediately and ensure their boats are safely anchored. Those planning fishing activities have been strongly urged to stay ashore until conditions improve.
The advisory has been issued as a precautionary safety measure.
