A substantial portion of the funds—₹30 crore—will be used to build a large religious hall near the main entrance (Lion Gate), develop surrounding picnic areas, strengthen approach roads, construct safety walls, install directional signboards, and beautify the temple grounds. The remaining ₹10 crore will support amenities to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims.
Majhi emphasized that the project reflects the government’s commitment to preserving Odisha’s religious heritage while making temple visits safer and more comfortable.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister also took part in the 100-year celebration of Gangadahani Government Higher Secondary School. Applauding the school’s legacy, he said it has played a vital role in shaping character and education in the region. He highlighted the government’s increased investment in education, noting a ₹31,000 crore allocation in the current budget—an 18% rise from last year.
