Jeypore School Organizes Training on Awareness of Constitutional Rights

Jeypore,26th Aug 2025: A training camp on Constitutional Rights Education in Schools was organized at the Town Hall, Koraput, for the sevikas (caretakers) of residential schools in the district.

In this program, the chief trainer of the Institute of Human Rights Education, Pradipta Nayak, explained to the participants about fundamental rights under the Constitution. Special emphasis was given on children’s rights—particularly the right to education, the right to safety, and the right to overall development in society.

It was highlighted that if the sevikas themselves become aware, they can in turn spread this awareness among children. Discussions were also held on how to protect children from exploitation, child marriage, and school dropouts. Along with awareness sessions, study materials are also being provided, informed the chief human rights trainer of the institute.
