Koraput, 1st Sept 2025: A District-level Joint Public Grievance Hearing Camp was held at the Baipariguda Panchayat Samiti office in Koraput district. The event was organized under the leadership of Koraput District Collector Manoj Satyawan Mahajan. Other officials present included Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Benuadhar Shabar, Jeypore Sub-Collector Sushri Akbaram Sasyarengi, BDO Shakti Mahapatra, Tehsildar Snigdha Choudhury, CDMO Baradakant Mishra, and Forest Department Officer.
During the camp, the District Collector heard a total of 60 complaints from the public, of which 30 complaints were individual and 30 complaints were collective in nature. The complaints addressed a variety of issues, including:
Road construction and maintenance
Housing schemes (Awas Yojana)
Welfare benefits (pensions, subsidies)
Land-related disputes
Access to drinking water
Health-related issues
The District Collector ensured that all complaints were immediately recorded and directed to the relevant department officials for timely resolution. The concerned departmental officers were instructed to take prompt action and provide solutions at the earliest.
The camp was well-managed by Baipariguda Block Staff under the supervision of Block Officer Purnima Barik, with the active participation of local Panchayat representatives and G.I.P. (Gram Panchayat) members. The objective of the camp was to address the common public grievances efficiently, bringing government services directly to the people and ensuring transparency in grievance redressal.
This initiative is part of an ongoing effort by the district administration to improve public engagement and ensure quick resolution of local issues. The public appreciated the camp for providing a direct platform to raise their concerns, and the authorities promised to follow up on the resolutions provided.
