Language Preservation Linked to Stronger Odia Identity, Speakers Stress at Kotpad Gathering

Kotpad, April 8: Utkal Divas was celebrated by various organizations in Kotpad town and surrounding areas.
Kotpad BDO Sandhya Rani Samartha, IIC Fakir Mohan Khara, and other administrative officials offered floral tributes to Madhubabu and other great sons of Odisha at a high school located near the Chandili border.
Later, they paid heartfelt tributes by garlanding the statues at Madhu Babu Square and Laxman Nayak Square in Kotpad.
At Siddhartha School premises, tributes were also offered to the statues of eminent personalities of Odisha by the institution’s secretary Pankaj Kumar Patra, teachers Kedar Nath Nayak, Bijay Mishra, Bharati Choudhury, Priyasmita Pattnaik, Sumitra Bhandarkaria, and others.
In addition, Utkal Divas was also celebrated by all government schools and institutions across the area.
