Lawyers’ Welfare Gets Boost as Government Allocates AdditionalRs10 Crore

Cuttack, Mar, 26:: The State Government has provided an additional financial assistance of ₹10 crore to the “State Lawyers’ Welfare Fund”, which was established for the welfare of lawyers. Earlier, the government had granted Rs10 crore for the year 2024–25. Now, for 2025–26, another Rs10 crore has been sanctioned.
This information was shared by Advocate General and Trustee Chairman of the State Lawyers’ Council, Pitambar Acharya ‘X’. The State Government provides annual financial support to the State Lawyers’ Welfare Fund. Through this fund, retired lawyers receive their entitled benefits, and other assistance is also extended for the welfare of lawyers.
The government’s financial grant has been warmly welcomed by the legal community.
