Bhubaneswar, Aug 18 [UDN}:Bairaguda Police Station Officer Laxmi Narayan Muduli has been honoured with the Commendable Service Medal for his dedicated, honest and outstanding service in the police department.
On the occasion of Independence Day, a State-Level Medal Award Ceremony–2026 was organised today at the Convention Centre located at Lok Seva Bhawan. During the ceremony, several officers and personnel of the Odisha Police were honoured with prestigious medals in recognition of their exceptional contribution to maintaining peace and law and order, ensuring public safety, and demonstrating exemplary courage and dedication in the line of duty.
The awards were presented by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who personally conferred the honours upon the deserving police officers and personnel.
Inspector Laxmi Narayan Muduli has earned recognition for his dedicated and remarkable service, particularly during his tenure in Malkangiri district. He played an important role in anti-Naxal operations and carried out his responsibilities with courage, integrity, sincerity and a strong sense of commitment. His notable contributions to maintaining security and combating Left-Wing Extremism in the region earned him appreciation within the police department and among the public.
His distinguished record of service dates back several years. In 2014, for his significant contribution and exceptional courage in the field of anti-Naxal operations, he was also honoured with the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry.
The latest Commendable Service Medal is another significant recognition of his dedication, professionalism and commitment to public service. His achievement has brought pride to the Bairaguda area, while colleagues, well-wishers and local residents have extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to him on receiving the prestigious honour.
