Long-Awaited Population Census to Commence Across the Country with Focus on Technology-Driven Data Collection

Bhubaneswar, April 08:  The national census will begin across the country starting tomorrow.
This information was provided by Census Director Nikhil Pawan Kalyan.
In the first phase, self-enumeration (self-counting) will be conducted.
This will be the first-ever digital census in the country.
The census process will be inaugurated starting with the Governor.
The census will not come under the RTI (Right to Information), and personal data will remain confidential.
The self-enumeration phase will continue for 15 days.
Individuals can respond to 33 questions as part of the process if they wish.
