Mahuldiha Police Station Promotes Stress Management and Mental Wellbeing

Thakuramunda, 30th Aug 2025: The Mahuldiha Police Station of Mayurbhanj district, along with Thakuramunda, organized a mental health awareness program for college students at the Paibarshee Kalyan Mandap in Rugudibeta village, Thakuramunda. Students from Thakuramunda Ma Basuli High School, Ma Basuli Degree College, and Phulmati High School, Padia Beta, participated in the program.

The chief guest of the program, Karanchia Vidya Padmacharan Saiburu, emphasized the importance of mental health awareness. He stated that physical health alone is not sufficient; our mental health is equally crucial. Losing mental balance can prevent a person from functioning properly and may even be harmful to society.

Awareness Program:

“We are the creators of our family, society, and nation. We must understand this and take responsibility,” said MLA Shri Baibuthu. The chief speaker, Mayurbhanj District Sub-Inspector Akshaka Savita Majhi, highlighted a recent unfortunate incident in Galeshwar, emphasizing the consequences of losing mental balance.

He mentioned that losing mental stability can sometimes lead a person to end their life, which is a matter of grief for all of us. He urged that whenever someone experiences such distress, family members, police, and organizational authorities at various levels must act proactively to maintain mental health.

On this occasion, respected guests included SP Ajay Kumar Barik, SP Cyber Police Pradeep Majhi, Khaktar Gaurav Sardar, President Chaitanya Maghar, and IC Hulatik Arun Kumar Putra, who delivered important speeches.
