Bhubaneswar, Feb, 12: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has changed the evaluation process for Class 12 answer sheets.
From 2026 onwards, a new digital system will be implemented under which answer sheets will be evaluated on computers.
An On-Screen Marking (OSM) system will be introduced for checking examination papers. Instead of physically handling answer scripts, teachers will evaluate them on computer screens.
Students’ answer sheets will be scanned and uploaded to a dedicated CBSE portal. Teachers will then log into the portal and award marks while viewing the scanned copies on screen.
This new system is expected to ensure error-free and faster evaluation of answer sheets. The process will also become more transparent and accurate.
