Major Review of PACS in Odisha as Union Cooperation Ministry Additional Secretary Takes Stock of Their Functioning, Performance and Future Development Plans

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 17 [UDN}:Additional Secretary of the Union Ministry of Cooperation, Pankaj Kumar Bansal, visited Shree Jagannath FSCS in Cuttack and Gengutia PACS in Dhenkanal to review the functioning and development of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS).
During the visit, he reviewed PACS loan schemes, business diversification initiatives and infrastructure strengthening measures. He also emphasized expanding cooperative services for farmers and further strengthening cooperative institutions in line with the vision of “Sahakar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation).
The visit focused on enhancing the capacity of PACS to provide better and more diversified services to farmers while contributing to the overall development of the cooperative sector in Odisha.
