Malkangiri Administration Intensifies Outreach for ‘Pravesh Utsav’ and ‘Khadi Chhuan’, Parents Urged to Ensure Children’s Enrollment

Malkangiri, March 27:  Under the State Government’s “Nipun Odisha” program, there has been growing enthusiasm across the state for enrollment in Shishu Vatika and Class I.
In this context, the Malkangiri District Education Department organized a special awareness campaign along with a distribution drive of invitation letters at M.V.-7 Upper Primary School in Tamsa Panchayat.
District Education Officer Chittaranjan Panigrahi, Additional District Education Officer Manjulata Bhoi, and other officials participated in the program. The officials visited households, distributed chocolates and flowers to children, and handed over invitation letters from the Hon’ble Chief Minister to their parents.
On April 2, 2026, “Khadi Chhuan and Enrollment Day” will be celebrated in all schools. On this occasion, newly enrolled children will be welcomed in a traditional manner with flowers and sandalwood paste.
Additionally, in the presence of School Management Committee members, local Self-Help Groups, and parents, the Chief Minister’s message of greetings will be read out.
The Headmaster, teachers, Tamsa CRCC, Samagra Shiksha coordinators, and School Committee members actively supported the program.
According to the Education Department, the main objective of this initiative is to attract children towards schools and lay a strong foundation for quality education.
