Malkangiri, April 06: Under the state government’s Nipun Odisha Programme, there has been growing enthusiasm across the state for enrollment in pre-primary (Shishu Vatika) and Class I.
In this context, the Malkangiri District Education Department conducted a special awareness campaign along with the distribution of invitation letters. The program was organized at MV-7 Upper Primary School in Tamsa Panchayat.
District Education Officer Chittaranjan Panigrahi, Additional District Education Officer Manjulata Bhoi, and other officials participated in the program. The officials went door-to-door, distributing chocolates and flowers to children and handing over invitation letters from the Hon’ble Chief Minister to their parents.
It has been announced that on April 2, 2026, all schools will celebrate ‘Khadi Chhuan’ and Enrollment Day. On this day, newly enrolled children will be welcomed in a traditional manner with flowers and sandalwood paste. In the presence of School Management Committees, local self-help groups, and parents, the Chief Minister’s message will also be read out.
Headmasters, teachers, CRCC members of Tamsa, Samagra Shiksha coordinators, and school committee members actively contributed to the success of the program.
According to the Education Department, the main objective of this campaign is to attract children towards schooling and lay a strong foundation for quality education.
