Mass Marriage Ceremony Held in Malkangiri as 17 Couples Wed Under Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana

 Malkangiri, April. 29:  In a significant initiative by the district administration of Malkangiri and the Women & Child Development Department, 17 couples tied the knot under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana.
The mass marriage ceremony was conducted following traditional Vedic rituals. Each newlywed couple received financial assistance of Rs 45,000, along with a marriage registration certificate. Additionally, a fruit-bearing sapling was gifted to promote environmental awareness.
This initiative is considered a commendable step towards building a dowry-free society. The program not only supports underprivileged families but also encourages social reform and sustainable practices.
