Mayurbhanj Receives Three New Rail Projects for Better Connectivity

7th December 2024: In a major boost to Odisha’s infrastructure, Mayurbhanj district has been allotted three new rail projects aimed at improving connectivity and supporting regional development. The foundation stones for these projects were laid by President Droupadi Murmu in a ceremony held at Bangiriposi, marking an important step in the district’s growth.

The new railway lines will connect Bangiriposi to Gorumahisani, Budhamara to New Jamshola, and Badampahad to Kendujhargad. These projects are expected to significantly enhance transportation options, making travel more accessible for local residents and opening up new economic opportunities. Improved rail connectivity will not only ease movement for people but also support industries by facilitating smoother freight transportation.
