Mega Blood Donation Camp Achieves Major Milestone with Collection of 2,290 Units, Strengthening Blood Bank Reserves

Jharsuguda: Aug 20 [UDN}:A massive mega blood donation camp was organized at Brajrajnagar and Bandhabahal in Jharsuguda district. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response and enthusiastic participation from the general public, police personnel, and people from various sections of society.
Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari attended the programme as the chief guest, while Bargarh MP Pradip Purohit was present as the guest of honour. Jharsuguda District Collector Kunal Motiram Chouhan also attended the programme as a distinguished guest and appreciated the collective efforts to strengthen the district’s blood bank.
A total of 2,290 units of blood were collected during the mega camp. Of these, 1,656 units were collected at Brajrajnagar, while 634 units were collected at Bandhabahal.
Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police G. R. Raghavendra, along with the Brajrajnagar SDPO and the IICs of Brajrajnagar, Belpahar, Banharpali and Orient police stations, personally donated blood and set an inspiring example. Their initiative encouraged other police personnel and members of the public to come forward and donate blood.
The mega blood donation camp emerged as an excellent example of social responsibility, collective participation and service to humanity. Jharsuguda Police expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the blood donors, volunteers, medical teams, organizers and residents of the district whose support contributed to the success of the campaign.
