Bhubaneswar, March, 17: Minister Ravi Naik has announced that under the state’s comprehensive water supply initiative, safe and potable drinking water will be made available to every household in Odisha by March 2027.
He emphasized that this ambitious target reflects the government’s commitment to improving public health, sanitation, and overall quality of life for residents across urban and rural areas.
The Minister highlighted ongoing projects, including the development of new water treatment plants, renovation of existing pipelines, and deployment of modern water distribution systems to ensure uninterrupted supply.
He also urged district administrations to prioritize timely implementation, monitor progress closely, and coordinate with local bodies to reach every household efficiently.
This initiative is expected to significantly reduce water scarcity, enhance hygiene standards, and strengthen community well-being throughout the state.
