Bhubaneswar, Jan, 24: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Mission Shakti Department and the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council. Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida stated that this initiative will play a key role in creating more “Lakhpati Didis” across the state.
Under this MoU, women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) will be trained in entrepreneurship in the tent rental and catering management service sectors. They will receive training on various aspects such as sustainable management of business units, enhancement of professional skills, obtaining FSSAI certification, preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), procurement of equipment, and business expansion.
A total of 4,000 women members from 1,000 Self-Help Groups will be trained in food supply, event management, tent services, and catering services. An allocation of Rs 9.3 crore has been made for the implementation of this scheme.
