Nabarangpu, Aug 26 [UDN}:Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Koraput Division, Jeypore, Shri Satyabadi Biswal, discussed ways in which the Postal Department could help provide a wider market for her traditional lac handicrafts. As part of this initiative, the department has proposed establishing a sales centre to promote and market lac handicraft products. An agreement document was also provided for the development and promotion of the craft and for extending market opportunities to the artisan.
Postal Inspector of Nabarangpur Postal Division, Shri Rabindra Behera, was also present on the occasion.
The lac handicraft community has expressed its heartfelt gratitude and extended best wishes to both postal officials for taking such a meaningful initiative to promote traditional handicrafts, support local artisans, and create better marketing opportunities for their products.
