Nabarangpur’s Rich Lac Handicraft Heritage Attracts Italian Tourists Keen on Traditional Art and Culture

Nabarangpur, Mar, 21:  Two Italian tourists visited Nabarangpur district to see its oldest and renowned lac handicraft artwork.
They came to explore the famous lac handicrafts of Nabarangpur and to discuss how this nearly extinct craft could be exported and gain recognition in foreign markets. The aim was to promote and expand this traditional art form internationally.
Accompanied by tourism representative Mr. Prabhat Kumar, the two Italian tourists visited the residence of State Handicraft Award-winning lac artisan Kumari Prabhatī Patra, located in Sankhari Sahi. They met with artisans Kali Charan Patra, Binapani Patra, Asharani Patra, and Mangala Prasad Patro.
After detailed discussions, they purchased a large quantity of various lac handicraft items and expressed great happiness before returning
