March 20, 2025 : NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams have safely returned to Earth after spending over nine months in space. Their journey, which began with a problematic test flight, concluded Tuesday when their SpaceX capsule splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico.
The capsule touched dowon. The astronauts had departed the International Space Station (ISS) earlier in the day before their safe landing.
Within an hour of their arrival, Wilmore and Williams were seen waving to the cameras and being assisted into reclining stretchers for standard medical checks. Their successful return marks the conclusion of a challenging yet rewarding odyssey in space.
