Naveen Writes to MPs on Border Re-Demarcation, Warns of Loss to Odisha

Bhubaneswar, April 16(BNP): Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has written to Members of Parliament (MPs) over the border re-demarcation issue, expressing concern that Odisha could face significant losses if the proposed bill is passed.

The letter follows his earlier communication to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on the matter. Patnaik urged MPs to carefully consider the implications of the bill and take necessary steps to safeguard the state’s interests.

Highlighting potential adverse impacts, he cautioned that any changes in territorial or administrative boundaries could affect Odisha’s political representation and resource distribution.

Patnaik called for a united approach among MPs to ensure that the rights and interests of the state are protected.

The issue has gained political traction, with discussions expected to intensify in the coming days.
