New Ayushman Arogya Mandir Opens to Strengthen Urban Healthcare in Pradhaniguda

Malkangiri, Nov 27:  On Tuesday at 9:30 AM, the Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Pradhaniguda, Malkangiri, was formally inaugurated. The chief guest at the event was Hon’ble MP of Nabarangpur, Shri Balabhadra Majhi. Hon’ble MLA of Malkangiri, Shri Narsingh Madkami, and the Chairperson of the Malkangiri Zilla Parishad, Smt. Samari Tangulu, attended as esteemed guests.
Also present were the representative of the Nabarangpur MP, Shri Sanjay Sarkar, and the local Councillor, Shri Pendara Prasad Panda.

From the district health administration, the following officials were present:

Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer (CDM&PHO) Dr. Dolamani Pradhan

Additional District Public Health Officer (Family Welfare) Dr. Chaudhury Nihar Ranjan Praharaj

The Ayushman Arogya Mandir, previously functioning from Jail Sahi, Malkangiri, has now been shifted to the newly constructed building at Pradhaniguda.

ASHA workers, staff of the Primary Health Centre, and district-level health officials welcomed the distinguished guests with bouquets.

Afterwards, the dignitaries performed rituals before Lord Jagannath and inaugurated the Ayushman Arogya Mandir by lighting lamps and offering flowers and incense.

The guests then visited various departments of the health centre, interacting with health workers and officials, and discussed how to ensure quality healthcare services to local residents.

A general meeting was subsequently organised in the conference hall of the Primary Health Centre.
During the meeting:

The Hon’ble MP of Nabarangpur instructed health workers and officials to provide uninterrupted health services and ensure all 14 essential services of the Health Centre are available to the public.

The Hon’ble MLA of Malkangiri directed officials and staff to guarantee that people depending on this health centre receive all necessary healthcare facilities.

The Zilla Parishad Chairperson highlighted the health issues faced by the public and stressed the need for timely services.

The CDM&PHO explained how local residents can avail various health schemes of the government and elaborated on the diagnostic facilities available at the centre.

PHC in-charge Dr. Abhishek Mishra, staff of the District Headquarters Hospital, district-level officers, and health workers were also present and extended their full support to the programme.
