Jeypore,Jan, 13: A new Volvo bus service will begin from Bhubaneswar to Jeypore. The bus will depart every night at 8:30 PM from the Baramunda ISBT and, traveling via Damanjodi, will reach the government bus stand at Jeypore at 7:45 AM the next morning. This information was shared today by the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) through its social media handle on X. It has not been clarified whether the service will operate with sleeper or semi-sleeper buses.
According to departmental information, this multi-axle, fully air-conditioned bus will leave the state capital at 8:30 PM. Passing through Khurda Bypass, Balugaon Bypass, and Chhatrapur, it will reach Berhampur at 12:00 midnight. After a halt of 90 minutes, it will proceed via Mohana, Gumuda, Ramanaguda, Mukundapur, Jeykpur, Rayagada, Rupkona, Laxmipur, Kakirigumma, Damanjodi, Semiliguda, Sunabeda, and reach Koraput at 7:15 AM the next morning. After half an hour, it will arrive at the new government bus stand at Jeypore.
On the return route, the bus will depart at 8:30 PM from the new government bus stand at Jeypore and, traveling via Koraput, Sunabeda, Damanjodi, Kakirigumma, and Rayagada, will reach Bhubaneswar at 7:45 AM the following morning.
