Odia Movie Chhire Nani Hits Screens, Celebrates Folk Heritage

Jeypore, 13th Aug 2025:  Good news from the art world of Koraput. An Odia film “Chhire Nani” has been made based on the folk songs from the late Satya Adhikari’s Baliphul cassette. The movie was released in various theatres across the state on August 1. It has been produced by Sarthak Music. The film features songs from the cassette, including “Chi Chi Chhire Re Nani Chi”, “Jetebele Dekhili Toke Baya Heli Mui” (“When I Saw You, I Became Restless”), “Sun Sun Sun Re Sang”, “Musake Mar” (“Kill the Mouse”), “E Nani Bihari Pani Kai Mantrara Kala”, and “Pani Marigala Jhai” (“The Water Has Evaporated”), among others.
