21st November 2024: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi,, recently held discussions with Mr. Rene Pill Pedersen of AP Moller Maersk Group regarding the establishment of a ship recycling facility in the state. This initiative aims to position Odisha as a key player in sustainable ship dismantling, offering both environmental benefits and economic growth through job creation and eco-friendly practices.

The talks also focused on enhancing Odisha’s port infrastructure, including the development of container terminals and the Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP).
