Bhubaneswar, Aug 21 [UDN}:During her one-day visit to Balasore district, Chairperson Smt. Babita Patra attended as the Chief Guest at a regional-level consultation meeting on “Family-Based Care in Odisha and Prevention of Separation of Children from Their Families,” jointly organized by the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) and UNICEF at the Auditorium Hall premises.
She emphasized that it is essential to further strengthen family-based care so that children do not become separated from their families and those who have already been separated can be successfully reunited with their families. She also held important discussions on child protection, family empowerment, and safeguarding children’s rights.
“Let us ensure the love, protection, and rights of a family for every child.”
On the occasion, Commission members Smt. Manasmita Khuntia and Smt. Sujata Nayak, along with the Additional District Magistrate, District Child Protection Officer, DSWO, and other officials, were present.
