Puri, July 11 [UDN}: Rath Yatra Preparations: Chief Minister Emphasizes Coordination; 19 IPS Officers Deployed, 470 CCTV Cameras Installed, Over 300 Trains to Operate to Puri
The Odisha government has intensified preparations for the upcoming Rath Yatra, placing special emphasis on coordination among various departments to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has stressed the importance of seamless cooperation between the administration, police, and service agencies.
To strengthen security arrangements, 19 IPS officers have been deployed for the grand event. Around 470 CCTV cameras will monitor key locations across Puri to ensure effective surveillance and crowd management.
In addition, Indian Railways will operate more than 300 trains to facilitate the travel of lakhs of devotees visiting Puri during the festival. Extensive arrangements have also been made for traffic regulation, medical services, sanitation, and emergency response systems.
The administration expects this year’s Rath Yatra to witness a massive turnout of pilgrims from across the country and abroad.
