Bhubaneswar, Feb 15: Odisha Police have kicked off preparations for the Puri Rath Yatra, scheduled for June 27. A crucial meeting, chaired by DGP Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, was held at the DGP Camp Office in Bhubaneswar on Friday to finalize arrangements.
The meeting focused on crowd control, traffic management, and addressing issues faced during previous years. Key plans include installing CCTV along the route from Bhubaneswar to Puri, ensuring proper parking, setting up VIP helipads, and providing dedicated facilities for police personnel. Additionally, the meeting emphasized safety measures, coordination with district administrations, and smooth movement of devotees. Senior officials, including ADG Crime Branch Binayatosh Mishra and SP Puri Vinita Agrawal, were present to discuss further details.
