
6th December 2024: The 9th International Gita Mahotsav has officially begun in Kurukshetra, Haryana, with Tanzania as the partner country for this year’s event. Odisha is participating as the state partner, bringing its vibrant culture and history to the forefront.

At the heart of the celebrations, the “Odisha Mandap” was inaugurated today, offering a beautiful display of the state’s rich artistic and cultural traditions. The pavilion features a variety of renowned crafts, including Pattachitra paintings, Chandua, and intricate silver filigree work. Visitors can also explore the state’s famous handlooms, such as Sambalpuri Ikat, Patshadi, and Tassar silk, showcasing the diverse talents of Odisha’s artisans.
This event provides a unique opportunity for Odisha to share its artistic heritage and strengthen cultural ties with people from around the world. It’s a celebration of Odisha’s timeless traditions, offering a glimpse into the state’s storied past and its dynamic cultural presence today.
