Bhubaneswar, 23rd May 2025 – In a progressive step toward labour welfare and digital inclusion, the Government of Odisha has launched the ‘Odisha Shramik Sathi’ mobile application, aimed at empowering construction workers across the state. The initiative brings essential government services directly to workers’ fingertips, making access to welfare schemes faster, easier, and more transparent.

Through this app, labourers can now complete critical processes such as online registration, renewal of labour cards, and application for financial assistance—all from the comfort of their homes. This marks a significant stride in Odisha’s efforts to ensure every segment of society benefits from technology-driven governance.
The app serves as a one-stop platform for construction workers, providing timely updates, access to entitlements, and support services—helping to bridge the gap between grassroots labour communities and government schemes.
Officials highlight that ‘Odisha Shramik Sathi’ is not just a convenience tool, but part of a broader vision of inclusive development. “This initiative reflects the state’s commitment to worker welfare and digital empowerment. It ensures that no labourer is left behind in accessing their rightful benefits,” said a senior labour department official.
The app aligns with the state’s broader “Mo Sarkar” (My Government) framework, which aims to create a citizen-centric governance model that is transparent, accountable, and inclusive.
As more workers begin using the platform, the government hopes to not only streamline service delivery but also collect valuable data to better design future policies targeting the welfare and safety of Odisha’s labour force.
