Office Chamber of Planning Board Chairman Opened; Charge Taken Before School & Mass Education Minister

Nabarangpur ,April 10:  The inauguration of the new office chamber of the District Planning Board Chairman and Hon’ble MLA of Nabarangpur, Gourishankar Majhi, was held at the local planning office premises.
On this occasion, Hon’ble School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, Hon’ble Lok Sabha MP, District Collector Dr. Balabhadra Majhi, Hon’ble Jharigam MLA Narsingh Bhatra, Maheswar Swain, Chairperson Basanti Majhi, Vice-Chairman of District Development Council Lingaraj Bhatra, Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Biswajit Chandra Barman, Chief Development Officer of Zilla Parishad Biranchi Narayan Darwan, Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra and other dignitaries were present.
It was informed that another office chamber for the Hon’ble Lok Sabha MP within the same premises will be completed soon.
Following the inauguration, a meeting of district-level officials was held under the chairmanship of Minister Nityananda Gond. The District Collector welcomed all attendees and extended congratulations to the MLA, urging all officials to work responsibly in their respective fields for the overall development of the district.
Officials were instructed to prepare and submit public welfare project proposals at the earliest. In his address, MLA and District Planning Board Chairman Gourishankar Majhi sought cooperation from all departments to accelerate development in infrastructure and other sectors and called for collective efforts to make Nabarangpur a leading district in Odisha.
Minister Nityananda Gond congratulated the MLA on his appointment as Chairman of the District Planning Board and expressed his best wishes.
Key issues discussed in the meeting included the Turi River irrigation project, railway development, construction of bypass roads, progress of mini stadiums in blocks, Godabarish Mishra Adarsha Vidyalaya, as well as projects related to anicuts and check dams. The Minister directed concerned officials to expedite work in these areas.
All district-level officers, BDOs, Tahasildars, and media representatives were present at the meeting. The District Collector concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks.
