Khordha, Oct 5 [UDN}: Providing safe and pure drinking water to the people remains my top priority, said the legislator while reviewing the progress of mega piped water supply projects being implemented across Khordha district, including his constituency.
A crucial review meeting was held at the Law Department Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar to assess the progress of ongoing mega drinking water supply projects. Discussions focused particularly on incomplete and delayed projects and measures required for their early completion.
The concerned departmental officials were directed to take immediate steps to complete the pending projects without further delay. Emphasis was laid on maintaining effective coordination with other departments and resolving administrative and legal hurdles at the earliest so that implementation work can proceed smoothly.
The meeting was attended by Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Girish S.N., Drinking Water and Sanitation Director-cum-Additional Secretary Vineet Bhardwaj, Khordha Collector Amrit Rituraj, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department Engineer-in-Chief Ratnakar Sial, Khordha Divisional Forest Officer Gajanan Lade, Chief Engineer Manoranjan Jena, Chilika Block Chairperson Jyotsna Behera, Banapur Block Chairperson Amarendra Ranasingh, Superintending Engineer Rashmita Das, senior officials from various departments and representatives of the construction agencies executing the projects.
The review underlined the need for coordinated and time-bound action to ensure that people across Khordha district receive reliable access to safe drinking water through the mega piped water supply projects.
