Bhubaneswar, Dec 9: A low-pressure system has formed in the southeast Bay of Bengal and is moving towards the Tamil Nadu coast, expected to reach by December 12. As a result, Odisha is likely to experience rainfall starting December 12. The Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted light to moderate rain in several districts, including Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Boudh, and Sonpur. Coastal areas like Puri may also see rainfall.
Temperatures are expected to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius after the rain, with fog likely in some areas. The system may also bring fog to districts like Ganjam, Koraput, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal.
