New Delhi, Nov 26: Ayodhya, the city of Lord Ram, is glowing with excitement. Everywhere, the name of Ram is being chanted. Tomorrow, on the 25th, the religious flag will be hoisted atop the spire of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. For this occasion, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi has been beautifully decorated. The entire city has been adorned with various flowers and lights.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate as the chief guest for the celebrations. The preparations for the flag-hoisting ceremony in Ayodhya have reached the final stage. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the hoisting of the flag by pressing a button. The flags will also be hoisted at other adjacent temples. According to reports, the flag has been specially prepared in Ahmedabad.
The flag, measuring 22 feet in length, will be hoisted on the 191-foot-high temple spire. Its weight is approximately 11 kg. The flag bears the symbol of Lord Ram and has been made using three layers of fabric. The construction of this flag took 25 days. It is said that the design of the flag was inspired by the traditional flag that was hoisted when Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya after his exile.
The flag-hoisting ceremony will be held between 12:55 PM and 1:00 PM. The temple administration hash made grand arrangements for independent rituals for Ram Lala. Considering the large gathering of devotees, security arrangements have been strictly tightened.
