Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari Takes Stock of Rain and Flood Damage, Focuses on Relief and Restoration Efforts

Bhubaneswar,  Oct 5 [UDN}:Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the situation arising from incessant rainfall and floods across several districts of the state.

During the meeting, the Minister held detailed discussions with the Collectors of Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur districts regarding the extent of damage caused by heavy rainfall and flooding, relief measures and the status of assistance being provided to affected people.

Minister Suresh Pujari directed the district administrations to expedite the process of providing compensation to people affected by heavy rainfall and floods. He stressed the need for timely assessment of damages and speedy delivery of eligible assistance to affected families.

The review focused on strengthening coordination between the district administrations and the concerned departments so that relief and compensation measures reach affected people without unnecessary delay.
