Bhubaneswar, 19th May 2025: The state capital is reeling under intense heat and humidity, making outdoor conditions extremely uncomfortable for residents. As of 8:30 AM today, the temperature had already touched 33°C, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre.
Adding to the discomfort, humidity levels were recorded at a high 64.5%, leading to a sweaty and oppressive atmosphere across the city. The combination of high temperatures and moisture in the air has made the heat feel more intense, prompting warnings to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.
The weather department has advised people, especially the elderly and children, to take precautions as the heatwave conditions are likely to persist.
