Bargarh,Sept 15 [UDN}:: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch a month-long nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Resolve Campaign) from September 17 on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The campaign will continue until October 17, with a wide range of public-service and welfare-oriented programmes being organised across the country.
Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling announced the programme at a press conference held at the Circuit House in Bargarh. He said the campaign would focus on highlighting the Prime Minister’s 25-year journey in public life, his emphasis on public service and good governance, and the broader vision of nation-building.
According to the minister, the month-long campaign will seek to take the message of good governance, public welfare and service to the people to households across the country. The BJP will organise a series of programmes aimed at strengthening public participation and encouraging people to contribute to social welfare activities at the grassroots level.
Among the major activities planned during the campaign are mega blood donation camps, ‘Ashirbadara Deepa’ programmes, service-oriented competitions in educational institutions, ‘Namo Seva Gatha’, street plays, Anganwadi celebrations, the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra’ and ‘Seva Setu’, along with several other welfare initiatives.
In all, 13 major public-welfare and service-oriented programmes will be organised as part of the campaign. The initiatives are intended to create greater awareness about government welfare measures, promote community participation and strengthen the connection between public representatives, party workers and citizens.
Dr. Mahaling said the BJP believes in working on the foundation of service-oriented politics and public welfare. He noted that the party traditionally observes a ‘Seva Paksha’ around Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, but this year the activities will be extended into a month-long campaign.
The minister appealed to people and party workers to participate actively in the programmes and work collectively towards strengthening grassroots-level public participation. He said such collective efforts would contribute to the larger goal of building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047.
The campaign is therefore expected to combine social-service initiatives with public outreach, awareness programmes and community participation, giving BJP workers an opportunity to engage directly with people through activities focused on welfare and service.
Bargarh MLA Ashwini Kumar Sarangi, BJP Bargarh district president Dr. Arupananda Sahu, and Sureshwar Satapathy were among those present on the dais during the press conference.
