Malkangiri March, 2:Giving priority to the educational development of tribal students in the district, District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay has taken a significant step. Due to his far-sighted initiative, for the first time this year, a Matric (10th) Annual High School Examination Centre has been opened in the Swabhiman area of Malkangiri district.
Around 97 students from five high schools in the Swabhiman region are appearing for the examination at Government SSD High School, Badapada. Earlier, these students had to travel nearly 22 kilometers to Chitrakonda to take their exams.
With the approval of the examination centre at Government SSD High School, Badapada, for students from four high schools of the Swabhiman area, local residents, students, and the general public have expressed their gratitude to the Board of Secondary Education and the School & Mass Education Department.
As per the direction of the District Collector, District Education Officer Chittaranjan Panigrahi personally visited the Swabhiman area and inspected the examination centre. He appreciated and thanked the Headmaster and all teachers for ensuring the smooth conduct of the examinations.
