Bhubaneswar, July 2 {UDN}: A Subhadra Shakti Café was formally inaugurated in Kukudakhandi Block of Ganjam district in the presence of the Honourable Digapahandi MLA, the District Collector of Ganjam, and the Chief Development Officer (CDO)-cum-Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad.
The launch of the café marks a significant step towards promoting women’s empowerment, self-reliance, and sustainable livelihoods by creating new income-generating opportunities for women. The initiative is expected to encourage local entrepreneurship, strengthen women-led self-help groups (SHGs), and provide a platform for showcasing local products and services.
The Subhadra Shakti Café is envisioned as more than just a food and refreshment outlet. It will serve as a symbol of women’s economic participation and community development, helping women become financially independent while contributing to the local economy. The initiative reflects the government’s continued commitment to empowering women through skill development, entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth.
