Sudden Heavy Rain and Hailstorm Throw Normal Life Out of Gear, Affecting Transportation, Agriculture, and Daily Activities

Kalahandi, April 11: Several areas of Kalahandi district witnessed heavy rainfall accompanied by a severe hailstorm, disrupting normal life.
Particularly, under the impact of the Kalbaisakhi storm, the Dharamgarh region experienced intense hailstorm activity. Locals stated that such a severe hailstorm has not occurred in the past 20 years.
Hailstones were seen scattered across main roads. Due to strong winds, heavy rain, and hailstorm for a considerable period, people were left frightened.
Traffic on the national highway was also disrupted for a long time due to the hailstorm.
