Bhubaneswar, 23rd Aug 2025: Tata Power, under its Elephant Conservation Campaign, celebrated World Elephant Day in Odisha with students and local communities. The initiative reinforces Tata Power’s commitment to promoting human-elephant coexistence in India’s most sensitive elephant habitats.
The concluding event of this week-long awareness campaign was held at Bantala Nodal High School in Angul district. A total of 1,031 students, along with parents, local residents, village heads, members of forest protection committees, representatives from TPCODL Angul Electric Division, the Angul Forest Department, and the Bantala Range Office, enthusiastically participated.
From 6th to 8th August 2025, various activities were organized for students across five schools in the Bantala forest block. These included art and essay competitions on human-elephant coexistence. A total of 1,031 students and 210 participants took part in these competitions. During the main event, 30 outstanding students were felicitated for their contributions.
