Tentulikhunti Gears Up for Maha Shivaratri at Sarp Mundeswar Temple

Tentulikhunti, Feb, 10:Preparations are in full swing for Maha Shivaratri at the Baba Sarp Mundeswar Temple located in Sapamunda village under Paraja Barangpadar Gram Panchayat of Tentulikhunti block in Nabarangpur district.

In the first phase, the temple and its premises were cleaned by devotees. Following this, it was decided to begin painting work. The painting of Baba Sarp Mundeswar Temple, the Hanuman Temple, the kitchen area, and decorative lion structures was carried out by Arun Art team from Lamataguda Gram Panchayat. With the dedicated efforts of Arun Bishoi, Ishwar Jani, Srikant Jani, and Vicky Jani, the painting work was completed on the 7th.

At present, temple priest Sarath Chandra Mahapatra is arranging and collecting the necessary materials for the Maha Shivaratri rituals. The village committee has already paid an advance for organizing a traditional Koraputia drama performance on the festive night.

To protect devotees from the summer heat, temporary canopies will be installed. As in previous years, police deployment will be arranged this year as well to ensure that the festival is conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner.
