Traditional Performances Steal the Show at Rupadeipur Mahotsav

Balanga, April 09:  The Rupadeipur Mahotsav–2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy in a vibrant and colorful atmosphere.
On this occasion, the chief guest, renowned film star and Digapahandi MLA Siddhant Mohapatra, graced the festival and added dignity to the event. He promised to extend support in promoting the famous Naga dance of Rupadeipur across Odisha, India, and even on the global stage.
As the keynote speaker, Ramesh Mohapatra, Secretary of the Pipili Cultural Council, emphasized Rupadeipur’s leading role in preserving and promoting Odia culture. He also drew attention to the rich history of the village.
Pipili-Delanga MLA Ashrit Pattanayak, who was present at the event, praised the organizers and advised the youth to contribute to their own development as well as that of society through such festivals.
Balanga Police Station officer Sasmita Sahu appreciated the disciplined organization of the event and the unity among the youth.
Among others present on the dais were Mahotsav Committee President Purnachandra Sahu, along with the President and Secretary of the Gopabandhu Youth Development Council.
The cultural performances by artists from Jagruti Gyans Academy and Binakeshari Nrutya Manjari created great excitement among the audience. The main attraction of the evening was the “Sura Dhal Melody Night,” where renowned singer Antara Chakraborty mesmerized the audience with her magical voice.
On this occasion, distinguished personalities of the village were honored by the guests for their notable contributions to society.
