World Cancer Day Observed with Doctors’ Press Meet

Jharsuguda ,Feb, 4: On the occasion of World Cancer Day, a large cancer awareness program will be organized on February 4, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the school auditorium.
Addressing the media, the organizers stated that the main objective of the program is to create awareness among the general public about the early symptoms of cancer, the importance of timely screening, and preventive measures.

They emphasized that many cancer-related deaths occur not due to lack of treatment facilities, but because of lack of awareness, fear, and delayed diagnosis. During the program, information about cancer will be presented in simple language, misconceptions will be addressed, social stigma will be reduced, and people will be encouraged to seek timely medical consultation.

Special focus will be given to breast cancer, cervical cancer, oral cancer, and colorectal cancer.

The organizers have sought the cooperation of the media to make this social health initiative successful and have urged the general public to participate in the program and become more aware.
