Jharsuguda 21st Aug 2025: The state-level Pencak Silat competition for pre-teen and sub-junior categories was held in Jharsuguda on 16th and 17th August. The young athletes from Nabarangpur performed admirably, winning a total of 26 medals for the district, bringing pride to Nabarangpur.

The athletes who contributed to this achievement include: Dhaniksha, Adyasha Jena, Bharati Patra, Gule Nisha, Alok Jiban Jibika, Dimple Patra, Akhilesh Pattnayak, Shailesh Pattnayak, Bapi Biswas, Manikantha Soi, Himanshu Pattnayak, Mohit Pradhani, Pinki, and others.
The competition was successfully conducted under the guidance of Coach Pooja Pujari and International Referee Harishi Behera, along with the support of all participating athletes.
Officials of the Pencak Silat Association praised the young athletes for their dedication and skill. The district is now celebrating this sporting success with great joy.
