Young Minds Shine at Block-Level Science Exhibition in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda, Nov 29:   The Block-Level Children’s Science Exhibition of Lakhampur was held at Manoj Padhi High School, Lakhampur Zone 3. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Block Education Officer Rajendra Prasad Sahu. The chief guest for the event was Odisha Government Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management, Suresh Pujari. Independent guests included Sanjay Kumar Jha, Director of Operations, MCL Headquarters, Burla, Mahaprabandhak Bedant Sangita Sahu, GM MCL Lakhampur area Aswadh Kishore Panda, Additional Group Education Officer Tikeshwar Jagat, Hemsagar Choudhury, Social Worker Raghunandan Panda, and Chief Teacher of the local school Keshab Sa.

The celebration was also graced by Panchayat Samiti President Lakhampur Huteshwari Tihiria as the chief guest and Vice-Chairperson Zilla Parishad Jharsuguda Akshay Kumar Sahu, Zilla Parishad member Sanat Kumar Singh, Pushpalata Seth, Sarpanch Sarandamal Jharna Seth, and Pandri Sarpanch Subasini Sahu as honored guests.

A total of 207 projects from 20 clusters within the block were displayed. Among the students nominated at the district level for their excellence were:

Sweta Bhoy, class 9, OVH, Lakhampur, for Disaster Management

Manasi Bhoy, class 8, Upper Primary School, Kandhaikel, for Water Conservation

Prabhasini Nayak, class 7, BR High School, Belpahad, for Health and Hygiene

Namrata Mahanand, class 9, Regional High School, Jamgaon, for Mathematics Projects

Surya Kant Behera, class 9, Sunari High School, for Nutritional Agriculture

Deepak Kumar Seth, class 9, BR High School, for Green Energy

Laxmikant Sahu, for New Technology, Science, and Knowledge Skills

The stage management for the program was conducted by teachers Suresh Padhan and Prasanna Bishwal, with teaching assistants Pragnadeepti Dash and Sandhyarani Maharana. The science exhibition also featured a central workshop by MCL showcasing the Chandrayaan Project as the main attraction, with stage management by teacher Shripati Oram.

During the awards ceremony, stage management was conducted by local teacher Shivshankar Meher, and thanks were given to teacher Choldedeb Sa. All officials from the Block Education Office, CRC officials, and all teachers and teaching staff collaborated in organizing the program successfully.
